Jason Klein

Jason Klein, a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, is a Boston native. He began his fitness career in 1989 with the purchase of DanceFit, a small aerobics studio in the Beacon Hill section of Boston. He soon partnered with David Weis and the two started the Beacon Hill Athletic Club fitness chain. Over the next 20-odd years the company grew to eight locations throughout the Greater Boston area and remains the largest privately owned health club company in the New England area. Jason and his family live in Newton, Massachusetts where he is an avid tennis and squash enthusiast.

Mark Rowe

A graduate of Springfield College with degrees in both Exercise Physiology and Business, Mark is a longtime certified Personal Trainer. He began his fitness career working for Jason and David at the Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs in 1996, rising through the ranks from front desk staff to personal trainer, assistant manager, manager, general manager, co-owner, and now co-founder of ZONE5. Mark also co-founded Combat Sports Boston, a mixed martial arts training center—also with Jason and David—and has been crucial to the company’s growth. “Rowe” as he is affectionately known, lives in Melrose, Massachusetts with his wife and three kids. When not at the club he can be found working in his yard or making holes on local fairways.

David Ilan Weis

David is also a native Bostonian, growing up in Newton and living in the area into his 40′s. He met Jason as a five-year-old in 1966. He graduated from Cornell University and, hoping to be a doctor, did graduate work at Harvard and Columbia. He was a personal trainer at several health clubs in New York City and Boston and with Jason, founded the Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs in 1989. He was also instrumental in launching the Beacon Hill Karate Academy and the BHAC Charitable Foundation, the first health club-based public charity in the world. David and his family live in Los Angeles where he will supervise the future ZONE5 locations in LA.
